Lines! (Assignment 1)

This assignment took longer than expected. It was fun and relaxing walking around my neighborhood and looking at all the lines, finding the right word for the emotion or adjective I was seeing with it:

(sorry for the bad lightning)

The hard part came with actually sketching out the those adjectives and emotions. I did it, but the lines never really turned out like I wanted them too. That was fine, but next time I know to just sketch it out more than I did to really get the idea down, and add more or less to it:

Its hard to see, but I choose the six words and sketches that I had a more solid foundation with, and went from there. When making the finished product I changed it from the original sketch to something more final and new. The words I choose were compacted, beautiful, saggy, twisted, structured, and rigid:

Here is the final project! I tried to keep symmetrical and asymmetrical pieces together along with bolder lines and thinner lines.
